The Provincial Environmental Education Centers (PEEC) based in the secondary schools has been established in 31 provinces under the supports from the Department of the Environmental Quality Promotion (DEQP), the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. The roles of the centers are to develop and implement the environmental education in schools and community, create network, and disseminate information and materials. TEF was requested to assess the quality of the centers and to develop and conduct trainings to strengthen the capacity of the PEEC staff in 38 centers from 31 provinces as well as provide technical support for future development. The project also received supports from the Community IPM Programme, FAO, the Department of the General Education and various agencies.
